Well we are now into September and the second graders should be getting a handle on the routine.
Remember they write in the planners every night and that is where you go to check for homework. Planners are in so please purchase them and have your student put them in the homework binder.
Math homework has begun. You need to pull that out of the book I gave you and send it back the next day completed. Otherwise the student does need to stay after school to complete, this is all homework not completed.
Reading logs are due every Friday and need to be logged for all four days to receive full 20 pt credit.
Ask your student what color light they had this week as many are now beginning to change them , make sure they know good behavior is important. Only those that have maintained a high level of behavior and green lights for 18 out of 20 weeks will get to have pizza lunch with me. Those with orange lights will be running laps and if your student has a red light you will get a note from them on Friday.
Tests are always Friday if you know you will be gone Friday send a note so I can give them the tests on Thursday.
Homework next week(subject to change) will be Homelinks, 2-1, 2-2,2-3,2-4. Spelling study, Tomas and the Library Lady unit test, reading log, new unit on India look for study guide Tuesday.
